Finally after all of our hard work it was time to party. Guests started arriving at 6:30 and the entire shop was full within the first half an hour. With the flurry of people in and out, and the music in the background, the vibe was fantastic. We here at SKETCHBOOK couldn’t have been happier with the turn out.
Despite the typical London weather, there were over 300 people in and out of the shop last night. Everyone grabbed a glass of wine or a cup of Coke thanks to Puma who sponsored our drinks and the Sweetcheeks Ltd cupcakes were not only pretty to look at but tasted just as good. Platform 2 was here to help inspire some goodwill with their wish tree and Eighteen Nightmares at the Lux, better known as ENL, kept the energy flowing with their own songs and great covers.
Among our guests were Yvan Rodic of Facehunter, Katie from Run Riot, Grainne Lyons from the BBC, Leyla from Tate Britain and the girls from Tatty Divine. Our friends Matthew Zorpas from Un Nouveau Ideal, and the man who made it all happen Nick Ferman of Sister PR gave us nothing but the best feedback and praise. When we checked our guestbook this morning we were so pleased with the positive response and congratulations that we received.
We want to thank everyone who came and made the night such a success. We really appreciate every single person who has been supporting us through this whole process and everyone that will continue to visit the shop. We couldn’t have asked for more out of the night and we hope everyone left feeling the same natural high that we all did. Keep checking back on the blog, Facebook and Twitter for updates on how everything is going.
