The Evolution of The Jalabiya

What was once an utterly traditional garment for women accross the Middle East, the “Jalabiya” ; which is essentially as a long dress or kaftan adorned with simple embroidery around the neck and sleeves, has evolved into a magnificently lavish and over the top fashion statement here in the gulf.

From Bahrain, to the Emirates or Kuwait – women in the gulf are constantly re-inventing this timeless classic by using a variety of new and unexpected fabrics and textiles, colour combinations and silhouettes.

And when it comes to Eid celebrations, nothing says stylish more than a custom-made jalabiya to wow your friends and family with!
